Clark Evans’ first experience with investing came at a young age, when his grandfather sat down with him and discussed how he evaluated stocks in the post-World War II era. Seeds from that conversation grew deep roots and led to his future career choice as an investment advisor.
Clark graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Practices and Ethics in Bi-Cultural Communities.
Prior to joining Hall Private Wealth Advisors, Clark enjoyed a great career in the wine industry, working at Neyers Vineyards in St. Helena and Domaine de Montille in the Burgundy region of France, where he developed lasting relationships. After touring the world and visiting thirty-six countries, Clark and his wife Kristin relocated to southern California and re-evaluated their vocations. For Clark, it was an ideal time to leverage his passion for serving others, which culminated in joining the team at HPWA in 2016.
As a Vice President of Wealth Management, Clark is responsible for working with his clients to define, pursue and achieve their financial goals. In addition, Clark collaborates with the HPWA investment team on portfolio construction, implementation and monitoring. He maintains a Series 65 license, qualifying him as an Investment Adviser Representatives (IAR). Clark also holds a Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC®), providing him the critical tools necessary to discuss the subject of longevity and its consequences on his clients’ family and finances.
Outside of work, Clark serves as the Secretary for the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Salk Institute Council and serves at the chapter president for the San Diego St. Olaf Alumni Association. He and his wife love rock climbing, skiing, cooking, and travel. Clark currently resides in Carlsbad with is wife and new baby.
Fun fact: growing up in Colorado and becoming an Eagle Scout, Clark can tie a bowline knot behind his back.
